Red Sox alumni and other celebrity guests visited Collins for the 23rd annual Jackie Robinson Celebration of Life Friday, Jan. 30.

SALEM — On what would have been Jackie Robinson’s 107th birthday, Red Sox alumni visited Collins Middle School Friday morning to speak with students about the Hall of Famer’s impact on Major League Baseball and the lessons they have taken from his barrier-breaking legacy.

Red Sox alumni Sam Horn (‘87-’89), Manny Delcarmen (‘05-’10), Darnell McDonald (‘10-’12), as well as Jahmai Webster of NESN, Jackie Robinson Foundation Vice President of Community Engagement and Partnerships Ivo Philbert and Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholar and Red Sox team DJ Kahleil Blair, visited Collins for the 23rd annual Jackie Robinson Celebration of Life.
