Interim Principal Colantuoni

Adam Colantuoni is the interim principal at Collins Middle School.  Previous to this role he served as the Executive Director of Student Services and Family Support here at Salem Public Schools.  In this role, he worked closely with all schools in Salem to support the social, emotional, and mental health of our students and in doing so, had the opportunity to spend a great amount of time at Collins Middle School getting to know many of the students and staff.

Prior to joining the Salem Public schools, Adam spent over 20 years as a middle school educator including eight years as a principal.  Prior to joining us here at Salem Public Schools, he served as the principal of the Galvin Middle School in Wakefield, a 5-8 middle school with over 1,000 students.  He has a true love and passion for working at the middle school level.  Through his years of experience, I have developed a deep understanding and appreciation for the unique challenges, responsibilities, and rewards that come with helping students and families navigate middle school.

At the top his priorities is to be fully available and accessible to all families.  Please do not hesitate to contact Adam at acolantuoni@salemk12.org and request a time to meet.  He believes in the power of a strong school to home partnership and aims to continuously work together to support student’s middle school experience.
