GSA- Gender Sexuality Alliance KICK-OFF EVENT
GSA and NAGLY are hosting a Spooky Movie Night on Thursday, October 28th at 6:30 PM in the round in front of the Main Entrance.
A CMS club that aims to create a safe, welcoming, and accepting school environment for all youth, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. The GSA provides a supportive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and gender non-conforming (LGBTQ) students, as well as those who are perceived by others to be LGBTQ, are questioning their identity, have LGBTQ friends or family members, or just care about LGBTQ issues.

Lunch
Please do not bring fast food or have door dash/UBER Eats delivered to your child. Fast food is against the health policy here at Salem Public Schools and we can not have deliveries to scholars during lunch period. Families if you forget to pack lunch and you have to drop off a lunch that is fine.
Colder Weather:
As the seasons change please have your scholars come to school with sweatshirts and jackets the classrooms can get cold even with the heat on as we will continue to keep windows open as a COVID-19 mitigation strategy.
Specialist
The first specialist rotation ends Oct. 22nd. Scholars start new specialist Monday Oct. 25th. Scholars will receive a hard copy of their schedule on that Monday.
KINDNESS CHALLENGE
To promote positive energy and kindness in our community, SPS is challenging our staff and students from all of our schools to submit kindness videos during the month of October which coincides with National Bully Prevention Month.
Our contest begins today and students will receive information about how to enter and how to create the videos from their teachers.
Each week, One student from each school that participates will be awarded an Amazon gift card. One grand prize winner will be selected at the conclusion of the contest.
