Hello CMS Community

This past Monday, Dr. Zrike announced we will have a full 5 day return to school starting April 5. We are excited to welcome our scholars back full time and we are also excited to still be able to offer a full remote academy for the scholars.
To simplify the process, the following default assignments will be assigned beginning April 5 based on students’ current learning model:

 -- Current in-person students will remain in-person with the slightly extended day.
 -- Current hybrid students will move to full in-person instruction five days per week.
 -- Current fully remote students will remain in the fully remote model five days per week.

Any family that is REQUESTING A CHANGE from the above assignment MUST complete the form for your child’s school by MONDAY, MARCH 22, 2021 or contact your school’s front office. What does this mean for CMS?
School Day
8:30-2:40

Arrival
6,7,8 North Clusters 8:20
6,7,8 South Clusters 8:25
Please use same entrances:
6th Grade Cafeteria
7th Grade Gym Door
8th Grade Jackson Street side scholars wait on the RAMP

Dismissal
6th and 7th Grade 2:30pm
8th Grade 2:35pm

Teachers:
If a scholar is currently hybrid and will remain in person they will keep the same teachers.
If a scholar is currently remote and will stay remote for the school year they will keep the same teachers.
If a scholar is currently remote and coming back in person they will most likely have new teachers.

Desk in the classroom:
All desk at CMS will be spaced 6ft apart.

Lunch:
Scholars will eat lunch in classroom as they currently do.
We are setting up the cafeteria for after April vacation so scholars can eat with their grade level. We will also be utilizing an outdoor tent for lunch supplied by the district.

Report Cards: Will be available to be in the ASPEN portal on Tuesday March 23rd at 3pm

Family/Teacher Conferences:
Dates-
Thursday, March 25, from 6pm-8pm
Monday, March 29, 2:50-3:50pm
Tuesday, March 30, 2:50-3:50pm
Teachers will be sending sign ups through Parent Square this coming week.
