The Salem News: Collins Middle School shows off pilot program on experiential learning

SALEM — This is middle school transformed.
A pair of congressional leaders joined a delegation of elected officials and education leaders for a tour of Collins Middle School Friday, where a two-year pilot-based partnership with the Winthrop Park School’s WPS Institute was put in the spotlight.
The pilot is expanding in the coming year to cover all eighth-grade students in the coming school year, including students at both Collins and Saltonstall School, which serves both elementary and middle school grades.
