Expanding Horizons for 6th, 7th & 8th Grade Students
Expanding Horizons is a free Salem Public School district after school program at Collins Middle School. This program is a 21st Century Community Learning Center program funded by the U.S. Department of Education.
The program is open to all Salem residents in grades 6, 7, and 8 regardless of which school they attend (public, private or home schooled).
The program is run in partnership with LEAP for Education, Inc., a Salem non-profit whose mission is to empower youth to be successful in school, college and career.
Expanding Horizons offers middle school students programming in the following subject areas: science, technology, engineering, math, the arts and physical education that incorporates social emotional learning, career awareness and agency/advocacy. All programs are fun, engaging, project based and have a high academic focus.
